Holman: Driving Efficiency & Innovation

You may know Holman from their truck & van products, but they are so much more than just a business. The number one priority that Holman has is ensuring that customers are more than satisfied with their exceptional products. We briefly spoke with David Schnur from Holman to learn more about Holman & their culture.

Who are you and what is your role within Holman?

David Schnur, Strategic Account Manager at Holman Manufacturing and Distribution has been with Holman for 20 years and in this position for the last 7. His role maintains & manages their WD, e-Commerce & OEM distribution channels.

What is the founding story of Holman?

Holman started in 1946, but the name Holman was only given in 1972. The current family of commercial van products & truck ladder racks were manufactured and sold under the Kargo Master Brand for many years. Kargo Master, previously known as Form and Fusion, began their journey over 40 years ago. Since the Kargo Master family joined Holman in late 2017, they have enjoyed significant growth. Currently Holman employs more than 6,000 people in 4+ countries. Holman is a leading provider of various products for work trucks and vans.

What would you consider Holman's specialty line of products to be, and why?

Holman's products for commercial vans have become the first choice of many fleets, with van racks, shelving and partitions designed to be installation friendly. David and the team at Holman pride themselves on supplying products that reduce installation time and provide the most durable products in the industry.

Walk me through some of the manufacturing process:

"Holman products are manufactured in our Rancho Cordova, CA facility..." as well as in their various other manufacturing facilities around the world says David. Utilizing the highest quality materials, finished & processes allows Holman to craft van & truck products at one of the highest standards. "Each box is inspected and weighed individually to verify compliance to specifications"

Are there any community programs Holman is involved in?

Holman sponsors many philanthropic initiatives, from local to worldwide charities. "...Holman is a big contributor to United Way with an annual campaign that contributes millions of dollars each year." United Way looks to close gaps within communities in education, health and economic mobility.

What would you consider to be your favorite part of working with Holman?

A family held & private business, Holman gives employees an incredible place to work. In regard to this David said, "In spite of our size, we are a close group and all treat each other as family." Through these efforts and more, Holman has ranked in the top 50 "Great Places to Work".

If you were to talk to someone who was interested in purchasing a product from Holman, what would be something you would tell them about the product/company to help seal the deal?

Alongside Holman's quality products & services, their robust partner support network provides these dealers with various benefits. Holman also "...buys, upfits, leases & maintains vehicles" with their multiple integrated business units. The leasing operation at Holman is one of the largest in the world. Each product is backed by a 36 month warranty, ensuring you receive products to their standards.

What separates Holman from other light and heavy truck accessory manufacturers?

Holman upfits thousands of vehicles each year, utilizing their own products. "We pride ourselves on being the best at what we do" says David, "When you buy Holman Products, you can have confidence that our teams will be there [to] support you every step of the way."
