What is your name and what are some of your responsibilities?
Rachel Deere has been with Merritt for 4 years, and is “...responsible to build and support existing dealer relationships, [and] also find and nurture new dealers that desire to partner with Merritt Aluminum Products.” By spending time building relationships with dealers like Elite Truck, Merritt can ensure that your purchasing journey is smooth and you get the products you need.
What is the founding story of Merritt? (Who started it, when, how far the company has come, etc.)
“Merritt Aluminum Products has roots grounded in our sister company, Merritt Trailers. Over 70 years ago, the Merritt family founded their cattle trailer business in Portland, OR. Shortly after, moved the company to Henderson, Colorado. In 2016, the Merritt family decided to build on their enterprise and Merritt Aluminum Products was born, out of a need to expand the heavy duty accessories business. Merritt Aluminum Products Company is well known for our Legendary Toughness in heavy duty truck accessories and in 2021 launched that same high quality into the light truck line of accessories.”
What would you consider Merritt's specialty line of products to be, and why?
Merritt specializes in aluminum truck boxes & accessories, “...[building] high quality and toughness into every product. From thicker aluminum sheeting to fully extruded framing and high quality powder coatings” Merritt ensures quality during the manufacturing process.
Walk me through the manufacturing process. (Where materials are sourced from, USA made?, quality control process, etc.)
Merritt’s manufacturing plant is located in Ft. Lupton, CO. “Most of [their] materials are sourced in the USA.” When sourcing the aluminum and other materials for production, Merritt only looks for the “...highest quality materials.”
Are there any community programs Merritt is involved in? Whether they be sponsoring a local organization, charity, etc. If not, no worries, this can just be omitted.

What would you consider to be your favorite part of working with Merritt?
