Hard folding covers are going to be a more long lasting durable option as well. With a soft cover you can damage it from the inside if your cargo has a point tall enough to hit the cover, whereas on the hard cover, you won’t have to worry about that. Hard folding covers also seem to hold up better in terms of aging, and sun damage. They use higher quality materials all around which ensure your cover has a long life.
